For over 25 years, Ben has developed a structured surf coaching system, which allows people to develop their surf ability throughout their surfing lifetime. Through step-by-step coaching clinics and a clear skill development ladder your surfing can reach new heights.
Four sessions from catching waves to riding and turning.
Catching Waves
Getting to the waves, board/hand position, paddling technique, wave count, picking the right wave, getting to your feet and safety.
Getting to your feet & holding speed
Timing your pop up, different pop up techniques, using the waves power not yours, controlling body and stance.
Staying Up
Looking to the right place, error correction, stance and recovery, core control, shifting weight and acceleration, surfing the wave out.
Riding Waves & Turning
Angled take offs, surfing down the line, maintaining speed and power as you pop up, turning and body movement, trying different boards.

Meet Ben and the team.
Ben founded and set up Ben's Surf Clinic in Lahinch in 2007. He has a strong passion for surfing and for teaching others the skill. He has been coaching since 1993 and, along with his team, wants to provide you with the best Surf Lessons Lahinch and surfing experience in Ireland!
